Clinic policies

Initial appointments are 90 minutes in length, while second visits are 60 minutes in length. Second visits are longer than further follow-ups since blood work will be reviewed. After the second visit, our standard follow-up appointment time is typically 30 minutes.

If it has been longer than 1 year since your last appointment, a 60-minute follow-up appointment is required.

Email or telephone consultations may be scheduled for patients who are in Ontario and unable to attend the clinic in person.

Lab requisitions and kits:

Testing is not always required, but strongly recommended. You will always have the option to proceed with or without testing.
Labs are billed separately from consult fees. Our labs are not covered by OHIP and are private pay only. You will always receive a copy of your lab test results after review with your naturopathic doctor.

Patient cancellation policy:

In order to ensure that all patients can get an appointment in a timely manner, we have a 48 hour cancellation policy. This time allows us to offer the time to a patient who may be on the waitlist. In the case of an emergency we will always do our best to support you. Appointments cancelled beyond the cancellation window and missed appointments are subject to the full visit fee.

Your first visit

What to expect:

  • A thorough review and investigation of your health history and concerns

  • Review of prior medical investigations and reports

  • Review of current medications and supplements

  • Review of what approaches have been tried in the past so we aren’t doing the same things again!

What to bring:

  • Ensure your online intake form has been completed at least 72hrs prior to the first visit-it allows for our naturopathic doctors to review and get a head start on your case prior to meeting

  • Any prior medical reports or lab results- these will be reviewed during your first visit

  • Supplement and medication list – you are also welcome to bring the physical bottles in with you if your appointment is scheduled to be in-person

  • Laboratory test recommendations

  • Herbal and nutraceutical recommendations

  • Timelines and expectations moving forward
